Blind, Visually Impaired, Deaf, and Hard of Hearing Services

New Horizons has adapted all of its vocational programming to accommodate persons who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, blind or severely visually impaired.

New Horizons staff focus on a individuals positive attributes enhancing the skills necessary to seek and retain employment. Specialized programs and services include evaluation, training, job coaching and job placement as well as follow-up services.

Our Focus & Emphasis

Emphasis is placed on providing specialized programs for persons who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, blind or severely visually impaired for the following reasons:

These individuals face unique vocational barriers.
The general public often does not recognize the full potential of people with these impairments.
Communication barriers often exist between these individuals and the business community.
The skills and abilities of those with these impairments are often overlooked.
